Disney at Christmas: A Truly Magical Holiday Experience

Cinderellas-Castle-Christmas-Lights

There’s no question that Disney World is a pretty magical place. But add in 70-foot Christmas trees, life-size gingerbread houses and a bajillion twinkle lights, and you’ve got a recipe for something extra magical!

Our recent trips to Disney in 2013 and 2014 were so much fun that we decided to do it again, but with a holiday spin. My mom and I thought it would be incredible to see Disney at Christmas—and we were right!

Each park and resort decks their halls for the holidays, which in and of itself is beautiful. But the really cool thing is that all the decor is themed to fit with its location!

Rustic Christmas Mantel

Simple, rustic style decor creates a beautiful holiday mantel.

A sweet way to remember our blessings this Thanksgiving

Wishing You a Happy Thanksgiving

Neutral Thanksgiving table centerpiece with pops of teal

I wanted to take a few minutes today to wish each and every one of you a Happy Thanksgiving (whether you’re in the USA or not!). This year has been full of ups and downs, maybe more downs than ups. But what it’s taught me is that I have so much to be thankful for, and I am trying each day to remember these blessings and not take a single moment for granted.

Thank you for taking this journey with me. Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the web to read about my crafting and decorating (and life) adventures. This blog started as a personal creative outlet, but it has become much, much more, and connected me to so many amazing people around the country and the world. And I am grateful for this every single day!

A sweet way to remember our blessings this Thanksgiving

Have a very blessed and happy Thanksgiving! I hope your day surrounds you with warmth, love and of course, delicious food!

Incredible vintage steamer trunk makeover! From blah to bold and beautiful.

This vintage steamer trunk was all kinds of dirty and gross when I finally pulled it out of our basement to start giving it a bold, beautiful makeover. Even after a thorough cleaning, it still wasn’t shining bright like the diamond I knew it could be. It needed color. It needed depth. It needed some bling. But the biggest change, and what I’m going to share with you today, is how to paint a vintage trunk.
