Today is an exciting day, friends! The Fall One Room Challenge, hosted by Calling It Home, kicks off this week and I am back for another round as a Guest Participant (you can see this round’s Featured Designer’s here). This past spring, I turned a spare bedroom into a pretty and well-organized craft room. This time, I’ll be taking on my home office makeover, a.k.a “the” project, a.k.a my dream.

I’ve been busy getting our home ready for fall with all of the staples of this time of year, like pumpkins, wood grain textures and, of course, my signature color—purple!
Purple is a color I’ve always been drawn to. I love its depth and richness, how it can be bold or subtle. I think this makes it a lovely, if not slightly unexpected, color for the fall season. You’ll see plenty of splashes of purple in my fall home tour coming later this week, but you’ll also find it in my wardrobe this season in the form of my favorite new accessory—my JORD Wood Watch!
I hate to rush the seasons, but I have to admit that I am really looking forward to fall. Our temperatures have been stifling here this summer, and I won’t mind it one bit when the humidity wanes. Fall re-invigorates me and inspires me to freshen up my home. During the summer it’s just too hot to be building things or running around redecorating the house!
