Happy Friday! It’s a snowy mess here in Cincy, but all the trees and clean white snow look gorgeous, so I’ll take it. I hope you’ve been spending the first days of this new year getting psyched for the remaining 362 days. I’ve been spending some time re-working my About page. My old one was okay, but it didn’t really tell you a whole lot about me, myself, and I (oh, and the hubs, too, of course).
With January underway, it only makes sense that I share the contents of my December Umba Box! Haha! I kind of forgot with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
So, without further ado, here you go:
2013 was a pretty bang-up year around here! So, in honor of the LAST day of the year, I thought I’d share a Top 13 Round-up of 2013, including some of your favorites, and some of mine.
Every year, my mother-in-law and her sister choose a theme for Christmas dinner at Grandma’s house. And they truly deck out her halls with plenty of twinkling lights and handmade decorations. One year it was penguins made with small terra cotta pots, another year it was a family tree (using a real tree, people! A Real. Tree.), and this year it was… squirrels.
Now, squirrels may seem like a strange theme for a Christmas dinner, but here’s a little background…
Whew! The holidays are always a blur, aren’t they? We spend weeks decking halls, trimming trees, baking until our fingers bleed, and then, in a matter of 48 hours, it’s all done!
