Sometimes, an idea strikes me and won’t let go. Does this ever happen to you? That’s the case with these tissue paper covered clay acorns. I was brainstorming ideas for a Fall craft, and kept coming back to some leftover clay and loose acorn caps.
Now, I’m nowhere near a master sculptor, but I figured I could make something resembling an acorn out of clay.

The older I get, the more I look forward to and enjoy the Fall season. There’s something about the settling in and cozying up: the warm sweaters, dark denim and camel-colored boots that I’ve come to love. I was really relishing the act of decorating our home for Fall this year, and I’m so excited to share my Fall Home Tour with you today!

Ready or not, signs of Fall are starting to creep into the landscape. Just in the last few weeks, I’ve noticed that the air is cooler in the mornings, the sun is setting earlier and the scent of smoke from backyard fire pits wafts through our neighborhood on weekend evenings.
Though I have mixed feelings about the onset of Fall this year, I feel the itch the adapt our decor for the coming season. I completely neglected our spaces this Spring and Summer, and so I’m looking forward to making some changes and freshening things up around our home. But this year, I’m going to do Fall with a twist—a twist of purple, that is!
