Friends, I have got something very special to share with you today, or rather, my friend Karista has something very special to share with you today! Geometric Holly Ornament

Are you getting into the holiday spirit? It’s in full swing here in our house, especially now that we’ve hauled out the holly… in the form of this geometric holly ornament, that is!

Today is a pretty cool day, because it’s a Silhouette Challenge day! It’s been several months since I’ve participated in a Challenge, so if you’re new here and not sure what this means, here’s an explanation! On the second Monday of each month, members of the Silhouette Challenge Facebook group share projects related to that month’s theme. This month’s theme is “holiday” (big surprise, huh?), so be sure to scroll allll the way to the bottom of this post to see more holiday ideas and inspiration! But wait! There’s more! DIY Christmas Felt Trolls {Inspired by Garnet Hill}

I have been dreaming up my “theme” for my holiday decorations for a few months now. My idea? A sort of snowy wonderland scene, with whites, silvers, grays, and reds, and speckled with the sorts of critters you’d expect to find in a snowy wonderland, like reindeer, owls and… trolls?? Yep, trolls!

I came across these felt trolls in the Garnet Hill catalogue and immediately added them to my holiday wishlist. But after checking the prices, ~~I thought~~ Tom thought it’d be a fun DIY challenge to re-create them myself.

DIY Ornament Wreath

One of the DIY crafts that I am most proud of is this ornament wreath that I made a couple of years ago. The results are well-worth the time spent hunkered down with a glue gun and piles of ornaments. This year, I wanted to put a slightly different spin on things and make up a smaller ornament wreath for my holiday tablescape.

Cinnamon Stick Gift Toppers

There is never a shortage of rolls of plain kraft paper in our house. It’s the perfect all-purpose wrapping paper, from birthdays to anniversaries, and especially for the holidays. I love it because it’s a perfect blank slate; you can dress up in so many ways! I’m on a cinnamon stick kick this holiday season, so naturally I decided to create a set of cute and festive cinnamon stick gift toppers!
