Despite the fact that there are still a few traces of snow on the ground, I have hope that Spring will soon be here. And with it, I have some house goals on our Spring To-Do list… besides the typical roof-to-basement cleaning.
If you remember back to our 2014 Home Goals, we’ve been making some progress. I haven’t shared these updates yet, but we did purchase some lamps for our family room, and we finally found a dining room table! We’re waiting on some additional chairs and accessories, but rest assured I’ll be sharing the reveal with you when it’s ready!
So with the arrival of Spring, I’ve got a couple specific projects in mind to focus on:
– Starting on the liiiiiiiiibrary built-ins. This could be as simple as settling on a building plan and buying supplies. Baby steps, people. Baby steps. 😉
– Finish out the dining room with art and accessories.
– Finish our new bedroom quilt with my mom.
– Paint our bedroom.
This seems pretty do-able in the next 3-4 months, right?
What’s on your Spring Cleaning / Spring Doing list?
Love seeing your goals spelled out, Emily! It inspires me to do the same. Oh, and I cannot WAIT to see these liiiiiibrary built-ins. I know they are going to be epically awesome and I feel like finishing that alone will be a major accomplishment for the spring. We actually have a roll-top desk to refinish (it’s the finally piece to our Nautical Master Bedroom Makeover) and both Mark and I are fed up with our kitchen nook. It’s not really use-able space and we want to change that, as well as give it a face-lift. Thanks for the inspiration to actually take baby steps in those directions!

I’m excited to see what you do with your roll-top desk and kitchen nook! I always have so many things on mental to-do list, I find it helps to spell out a few at a time. And hopefully by breaking our projects down into quarterly increments, they won’t feel so overwhelming. I hope if we do nothing else in the next 3 months, we can at least figure out our building plans for the built-ins! Gotta start somewhere!
