Fall table decor goes sophisticated with these simple ideas. Dress up a modern neutral runner, add candles and pumpkins to create a pretty tablescape.
My Fall table decorations are pretty simple this year—I stuck with pumpkins, candles and a few other accents to put my tablescape together. But simple can be sophisticated and modern at the same time, plus I’ve got a couple of easy DIY ideas anyone can do to add an extra special touch to their autumn decor.
As I did with my fall mantel and coffee table decorations this year, I’m going for a neutral-tribal-modern kind of look in my dining room. With a few pops of purple, too, of course! Click here to see my fall mantel. / Click here to see my fall coffee table decorations.
This centerpiece arrangement for my fall table didn’t take me long to pull together; I started by gathering items that fit the vision in my head – neutral and metallic candle holders, neutral fall decorations, purple pumpkins and a few natural wood accents. I also dressed up a store-bought table runner and made up a set of simple napkin rings to complement the arrangement. I’ll include links to products and DIY projects where I can so you can get the look, too!

No matter the time of the year, I always seem to incorporate mercury glass into my table decor. It goes with everything and adds a touch of shimmer to every occasion. Plus, I’ve learned it can be challenging to decorate an orange dining room—metallics go with every color! I love the extra sparkle it adds to my fall table.
Purple is slowly becoming a popular color for Fall, but I have yet to see purple pumpkins in stores. So I grab a bunch of faux pumpkins from the craft store and paint them with one of my favorite paints – DecoArt Chalky Finish in Victorian. I love how the purple mixes so well with the natural wood tones and mercury glass. It’s definitely a different look for a fall table, but it totally suits my style.

To add a little extra style to my fall table, I made my own simple wire napkin rings and added a few rose gold metallic leaves to a store-bought table runner. I used Oly-Fun material in Rose Gold to make the leaves. Click here to find the napkin rings and table runner tutorial over at Fairfield.
