Dear Wilde Handmade

I met Rachel, the creative hand behind Dear Wilde Handmade, several months ago through a mutual bloggy friend. We immediately hit it off, given our shared interests in blogging, crafting, and love of literature. Rachel and I recently became pen pals; we both loved the idea of reviving the dying art of sending letters, and the extra bit of effort that goes into sitting down and writing with the purpose to share.

Throughout our pen-pal-ship, Rachel has sent me lovely handmade cards, and it came as no surprise when she announced she was launching her own line of handmade stationery. The quality and composition of her work is wonderful; she truly considers the intent of the piece she’s creating and and how it brings the message to life.

Here’s what Rachel had to say when I asked what inspired her to start creating her own cards and stationery:

Handmade stationery has always been something I love to create, but it’s become especially important to me since moving to North Carolina this past September, five hundred miles away from family & friends. Receiving a handwritten letter in the mail is such an exciting thing, and makes me feel so loved; I created Dear Wilde Handmade because I want to share that feeling of warmth with others.
