Today I am thrilled to be teaming up with a wonderful group of bloggers for a very special event. We’re throwing a virtual baby shower for one of our own. Our sweet friend Lauren Lanker of The Thinking Closet, and her husband Mark, are expecting their first baby (a sweet little girl) this June. If you’re new to the idea of a virtual shower, it is similar to a real shower but instead of one person hosting, each of us divvied up food, decorations, games and gift ideas. (you can find all of our recipes, projects and ideas at the bottom of this post).
Every shower needs a yummy dessert, right? I know Lauren loves chai lattes, so I set out to find a fantastic chai latte cupcake recipe to share. If you like chai lattes, I think you’ll love these cupcakes—they are that good!
Tis the season for sweets!
And do I have something delicious to share with you today! I baked up a batch of these scrumptious Peanut Butter Crunch Cookies with Chocolate Drizzle for a fun event that’s happening across blogland today—a Christmas Cookie Recipe Swap! It’s sort of like a cookie exchange, but since it’s happening online, we’re swapping recipes instead of actual cookies.
I’m bracing myself to be shunned by nearly all of humanity when I admit this, so here goes nothing… I’m not a fan of Pumpkin Spice Lattes. *runs and ducks for cover*
I love pumpkin spice and pumpkin flavored things: pumpkin pies, pumpkins cakes, pumpkin muffins and cupcakes and all number of other pumpkin-flavored baked goods. I like to enjoy my pumpkin baked goods with a nice warm cup-o-joe. I just don’t like all the pumpkin flavor dumped into my nice warm cup-o-joe.
But pumpkin spice plus a couple of scoops of creamy vanilla ice cream? Ooooooh yeah, now we’re talking!
