I decided to keep things simple with my Christmas table decor this year and I am thrilled with the results! All it took was a few bunches of grocery-store greenery and bags of fresh cranberries mixed with vintage glasses and simple white dinnerware to create a lovely table for my family to gather around this holiday season.

I’m excited to be joining in the Come Home for Christmas Tours this week, hosted by my friends Jenn and Vicki of 2 Bees in a Pod (i.e. two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet!). Every day this week, our group is sharing Christmas decorations throughout our homes – be sure to keep reading to the end so you can see the room tours shared each day!

If you’re a new reader stopping by from one of the other blogs on the tour—welcome! I’m so glad to have you here!

Come Home for Christmas - Room by Room Decor Tours

Today our tours are all about our dining rooms, so let’s dive in and I’ll show you the simple Christmas table decor that I’ve put together this year.

Simple ideas for Christmas table decor

For the past few years, I’ve done neutral metallics in our dining room, mainly because our orange walls are so bold and I always worry that more traditional reds and greens will clash. Well, this year I seem to have reversed my decorating routine! I decided to do mixed metallics on the mantel in our family room (Click here to see my Christmas Mantel) and add splashes of red and green to my Christmas table decor by using fresh cranberries and greenery.

What a gorgeous natural Christmas table centerpiece!

And I am totally smitten with how my table turned out!

I made the candle ring centerpiece out of fresh ferns and baby’s breath from my local grocery’s florist department. Click here to see how I made this Christmas centerpiece.

I am in love with this simple Christmas table decor - simple yet so elegant!

Fill vintage glasses with fresh cranberries for your holiday table. Such a simple and pretty idea!

Champagne Coupes (similar) / Mercury Votives (similar)

These vintage etched champagne coupe glasses belonged to my grandmother, and I like to add them into my table settings whenever I can. They make me feel fancy! Filled with fresh cranberries and simple white votive candles, they create a simply lovely centerpiece. I added a few mercury glass votives between the coupe glasses for extra sparkle.

Cute idea for a Christmas table setting - add miniature trees under a dome!

White Dinnerware / Miniature Cloche (similar) / Bottlebrush Trees

For my place settings, I stuck to simple white dinnerware topped with a miniature cloche scene of bottlebrush trees and wood veneer Christmas words. I found the miniature trees in the Target dollar section and the wood words at Michaels last year. I love hitting these stores as close to or after Christmas to stock up on craft supplies I can use the following year.

I love this simple place setting for Christmas and the holidays! White plates, plaid napkins and a bottlebrush tree! So cute!

I hope you enjoyed this look at my dining room and my Christmas table decor! I’ll be sharing more of holiday home decor over the next several weeks, but in the meantime, be sure to stop by and see how my friends are decorating their homes for Christmas!

Not only do cranberries make pretty decorations on your table, but I am one of those people who thinks they are yummy cooked in stuff!

Emily your dining room is beautiful! I love the classic greens and cranberries mixed with your vintage glasses! And those sweet mini cloches on each plate are such a CUTE idea!

This looks so fun and festive, Emily! Decorating with cranberries is always a favorite of mine and your table is so beautiful! From the cloches to those stunning ornament wreaths – it’s all perfection. Hugs, Coco

So charming! I really love the cloche scenes. Those are awesome! I admire you for not giving in to the orange wall for fear of clashing. The way that you added the cranberries and greenery looks great and everything adds to it.

Thank you so much Kristy! I’ve been waffling back and forth over whether to keep our dining room orange or paint it a deep purple. But either way, I think the natural table decor would work well 😉

LOVE this table setting! The centerpiece is so beautiful! Love the mix of fern and baby’s breath. And you can never go wrong with cranberries! Those mini cloches are adorable. I need them in my life!
