Tom and I enjoyed a nice holiday on President’s Day. We honored our leaders past and present by doing the only natural thing… helping my parents fix an interior leak caused by frozen gutters.
I know, I know. I owe you a proper diy or craft or decorating post or something. I’ve had a hard time getting back into the grove, especially after returning from our escape to Florida. Ever since we got home it’s been Polar-Vortex this and 3-inches-of-ice that. And every part of me just wants to curl up with carbs and a blanket and hibernate for a few more months. But at least the cold, short winter days are made a little brighter by the arrival of another Umba Box!
Does anyone else have the urge to stay in sweats, snuggled under a furry blanket until April rolls around? Cuz I sure do. Cincinnati has been hit with quite a winter so far; loads of snow, wind chills below zero, freezing rain. Ugh. Let’s just say, I’m going to try not to complain about the heat this summer.
Despite my desire to hibernate, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to check out the new space of Hinge—a cool vintage & home decor store I discovered last fall through my friend Kris. (You might remember the diy class I took there when I made some cool fabric pumpkins.)
I have to admit, Tom & I aren’t big into celebrating Valentine’s Day. Our anniversary is in April, so we usually focus our efforts at expressing our undying love for each other to this event.
But, I still like to pick out items to pretend gift (and to receive!)
