I hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent some time working on projects (that I’ll be sharing here over the next few weeks) and playing “photog” around the yard with my fancy camera.
Today, I’m sending out congrats to Katie W., who was the winner of the Tandem Collective braided jersey scarf! Congrats!
I feel like my momentum is slowing down; not for lack of items on my to-do list, because that’s about a bajillion miles long. But just because it feels like no matter what, I cannot get ahead of myself. Instead of making progress on the bigger things, i.e. the crown moulding that must be completed before painting can happen (and is scheduled for Nov!), I get caught up in smaller projects and crafts.
Maybe it’s just an effect of the days getting shorter. Maybe this is why I feel I need to cram a hundred things into every waking moment. Though, hopefully not, because then this feeling will be hanging around until Spring comes. Oy.
If you ever have moments or days or seasons when you feel like this, how do you handle it? If you let yourself have a “day off,” how do you force yourself to relax and let some of your to-do list slide?
Thanks for the giveaway, Emily!! You are awesome 🙂
You’re welcome! I hope you enjoy it 🙂
Been here lots of times:
“I feel like my momentum is slowing down; not for lack of items on my to-do list, because that’s about a bajillion miles long. And it’s totally ok to give yourself a day, recuperate from craft brain and allow yourself to take small steps into working on the bigger projects. I can so easily feel bogged down by how much work a project requires that I will start it and not finish because it’s too daunting (aka my carpet removal on the stairs – on hold right now, halfway completed). I think the important thing is to remember that even if you start and don’t finish, just doing a little bit every now and then will actually get you closer to finishing those big projects. The appeal with a craft is you can start and finish in one sitting (most of the time), so the feeling of accomplishment is more immediate.
Am I totally off base here? Maybe I’m just giving myself some much needed advice! HAHA

Ohmygosh, you are totally ON base, hahaha! I am constantly reminding myself that progress is progress. The sad part is that I feel like if I don’t have “stuff” done, I have nothing to blog about! I’m working on that, too 😉
I heart you Thalita!
