I have an adorable holiday craft idea to share today! These mason jar ring wreath ornaments are so cute and easy to make; they’re perfect for holiday decorating and gifting. How to make a Mason Jar Ring Wreath Ornament
Materials Needed:
- Mason jar lid rings
- I used lids from regular pint size jars, but if you’d like a larger ornament, try the wide mouth style.
- Yarn
- I used Charisma by Loops & Threads because I liked how thick it is.
- Sheets of felt
- Assorted holiday floral picks
- Jute twine
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Tutorial:
1.) Knot yarn around the mason jar ring and secure with a dot of hot glue. Wrap the whole ring with yarn, keeping it somewhat taut so the metal ring doesn’t show through.
2.) Before tying off the end, thread a strand of twine or string through one or two loops of yarn for hanging your ornament.
3.) Cut a few pieces from the holiday picks. I chose small gold berries for my mason jar ring wreath ornaments. Use hot glue to secure a few of the “branches” to the wreath, then add a small felt flower. If you need a tutorial for making felt flowers, check out this one from my friend Lauren.
You could also use buttons, ribbon, bows or bells to embellish your wreath ornaments.
