I am excited to share my summer home tour with you today! And if that wasn’t enough, I am teaming up with a bunch of blogging buddies this week who’re all sharing their summer home tours, so really, you’re getting over 20 summer home tours—talk about bang for your buck 😉
You got a glimpse of my outdoor summer style in my garden tour last week, but now let’s move inside and take a look around!
I haven’t updated our decor since the garden party themed bridal shower I threw back in April, so it was high time for some seasonal changes to be made around here.
Our entryway got a summer update with my favorite hold foil “Home Sweet Home” print and a pretty new ceramic vase I picked up at a local indie craft show last month.
I also added the horse bookends I made a few years ago.
Moving into our family room, I updated our mantel and coffee table. It seems I’ve been bitten by the “tribal” bug this season.
It all started with this framed art I found at Hobby Lobby on major clearance ($8!!)…
I had every intention of hanging it in our powder room when I got home, but it found its way onto our mantel first, and then I couldn’t help but decorate around it!
I mixed in my favorite vintage industrial wood spools and a couple of arrows to round out this vintage/modern/industrial/slightly bohemian vibe…
For the other side of the mantel, I painted a couple of wicker trays that I had leftover from this #SwapItLikeItsHot box. You can find the tutorial for these right here.
The last piece was to add this awesome Pottery Barn Malta lantern that I just received from my in-law’s for my birthday. I added some real greenery stems (lemon leaves and other palm-style leaves) and a couple of flameless candles for a summery vibe.
