Happy February! The month of flowers, chocolates and hearts! I’m not one to make a big deal out of Valentine’s Day, but this year I’ve really been looking forward to making some Valentine’s crafts and decorating our mantel. I think it has to do with the traditionally-cheerful color palette. I’ve had enough of grey, overcast days. I could use some splashes of pinks an lavenders around our home! And I’m starting with this sweet Watercolor Heart Valentine’s Day Canvas Art.

It really doesn’t take much to make me laugh… it’s probably why I love a good pun. And things don’t get much punnier than around Valentine’s Day. It’s the perfect time for a cute play on words, and one of the reasons why I had to make this adorable and pun-tastic donut Valentine’s card. These are pretty easy to make, and I think you’ll have a “hole” lotta fun doing it. See what I did there?? I crack myself up!

I’m excited to be Joining a group of blog friends to bring you new Silhouette projects each month! Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to see all of the projects being shared today. I’ll admit I don’t use my Cameo as much as I should, but I’m looking forward to these challenges and themes each month that’ll force me (in a good way!) to start creating with it more often. I feel like using my Silhouette is like learning to ride a bike – it takes some practice to get the hang of it, but once you do it’s smooth sailing!

To kick off 2017, our Silhouette Creators theme for January is to make something old new again. I took a thrift store metal tray and turned it into a chic DIY bar tray for my office.

I am excited be kicking off the year by joining up with a talented group of bloggers for a fun monthly event—the Create with Me DIY Challenge.
